Update for 2014
Hello everyone, I hope it has been a good year so far! The orchard has been marching along steadily this year and I thought it would be a good time for an update. Paula Red will be our first apple, and we will be sure to update when it is ready. After that, there will be a bit of a wait before the Ginger Gold is ready. Check us out here, on Facebook, or our new Twitter account!
As for some news on our past year, springtime finally won its battle over the ‘impressive’ winter we had. Although a little late (June 1st!), the bloom came out in an impressive fashion.

Mid to end of May is the usual time for bloom, so June is quite late! Still, the bees were working furiously to get their job done.
Hurricane Arthur came and went with much show and bluster. We lost a couple trees due to the wind, and there will be some damage on the apples, but overall we were very lucky. Although the horses have a perfectly fine shelter, they didn’t seem to mind having lunch in what felt like a car wash.

That’s all for now. As mentioned above, check back for opening times and varieties as fall starts to roll around.
